Information regarding the new Data Protection Act 2018 and how we’ll work with you. 

When processing data Engineering Inspection Solutions Ltd. will ensure the processing is lawful and we are transparent about what the data is being used for.  The data is collected for a specific purpose and is necessary.  This information will be kept up to date and not held unless necessary. We ensure it will be kept safe and secure.

We will need to have some personal data from you prior to carrying out work for you.  We will ask for client’s names, addresses, phone numbers and email addresses.  We will continue to hold your statutory records and help manage them whilst you are our client.  During this time we are required to do so by law. The data we hold is only used to make contact with our clients to enable us to have   discussions with them and also to share information with our competent engineers.  On occasions where there are serious Health & Safety concerns we are legally required to share some basic details with the H.S.E. or the Local Authority.   If this is necessary we will inform the client of our findings prior to that notification.  Other than in this scenario no personal data will ever be given to third parties.

Data will be held within a secure server and access to it will be restricted to only those who need to perform duties for our company.  E.I.S. Ltd follows a strict confidentiality policy – any breach of this will be dealt with as a serious matter by the managing director and appropriate disciplinary action taken.  E.I.S. Ltd office has a security system fitted to their premises.  All our clients have a right to access the information we hold about them at any time.  You can help E.I.S. Ltd update and maintain the accuracy of your personal information by notifying us of any changes to your address, title, phone number or e-mail address.

Any data which is required to be removed is disposed of either through deleting all threads on the P.C. or paper work is shredded and burnt.  Should you have any queries about personal information held by E.I.S.
